Log-in Tips

If you’re having trouble logging in, these tips may help:

Clicking on the above link that says “Click here to log-in to LIVE Gay Hawaii Chat” will open a pop-up window in your browser. If nothing happens when you click the link, turn off your pop-up blocker, and try again.
When the pop-up window opens, a javascript applet will run and the log-in screen will appear. If the log-in screen never appears, then your browser’s security settings may be preventing the javascript applet from running. Change your browser’s security setting to a less restrictive level and try again.
After the log-in screen appears in the pop-up window, type in a nickname and then click on the “Connect” button. The chat application should then load into the pop-up window (it may take a couple of minutes).
Gay Hawaii Chat is a Java application. If you have Java installed on your computer and chat doesn’t start, then your browser’s security settings may be set too high and preventing the Java application from running, or you may not have Java enabled in your browser, or you may not have the latest version of Java.
If you’re not sure if you have Java installed, or whether you have the latest version, go to the Java installation test page and then click on “verify installation.”
If your computer is running low on resources (memory), chat may not start or it may run very slowly. To free up resources on your computer, you may need to close other open browser windows, shut down other running applications, or re-start your computer.
